Multi-award winning actor/writer Danny Keogh’s career spans the full range of theatre, film and television.

He has worked in the theatre, being one if the Founding members of the famous Market Theatre in Johannesburg, as well as in TV and Film.

Feature film credits include Mr. Bob directed by Thomas Vincent, Death Race: Frankenstein Lives directed by Roel Reine, Sinking of the Laconia, Invictus directed by Clint Eastwood, Master Harold and the Boys, Starship Troopers, Poseidon Adventure and King Solomon’s Mines.

Television credits include The History of America: Gettysburg, The Lost Future directed by Mikael Salomon and Interrogation Room.

Theater credits include Cuba and his Teddy Bear, Pale Natives and Independent Papers.

Danny has written for the theater This is for Keeps, a play awarded the Vita Award for Best new South African play, The Native Who Caused all the Trouble for which he won the Amstel Award as Playwright of the Year, The Native, also a winner of the Vita Award for Best new South African play.

Danny’s writing talent extends also to film where he wrote the screenplay for The Native and received a nomination for Best Film Script, The Schoolmaster for which he won the Vit Award for Best Film Script.

In total Danny has received 22 Best Actor award nominations for his work in theater, four Best Actor awards and a Best Supporting Actor award.  For film, Danny has won a Best Supporting Actor award as well as a nomination for Best Actor.
