TOM FELTON plays TRENCAVEL
Tom Felton is quickly emerging as one of the industry’s most promising talents and the breakout star of the entire Harry Potter franchise.
Felton is 24 years old and has been acting professionally since he was 10 when he starred as Peagreen Clock in Peter Hewitt’s fantastical tale The Borrowers. His talent was quickly spotted by director Andy Tenant who cast him in the Academy Award nominated epic feature Anna and the King, playing Jodie Foster’s screen son Louis Leonowens, with Foster playing the title role of Anna.
When Felton was just 11 years old, director Christopher Columbus cast him in the role that was to make him a household name, as Harry Potter’s arch rival “Draco Malfoy” in the most successful film franchise of all time. Felton has starred in all eight Harry Potter films.
In May 2010, Felton received the MTV Movie Award for “Best Villain” for the sixth Harry Potter installment, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and followed that up in 2011 with a second straight win for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1. Felton also received a Teen Choice Award for “Best Villain”.
Felton did not settle down off the back end of Harry Potter, as he co-starred with James Franco and Andy Serkis in Rupert Wyatt’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The film was a huge success generating over 400 million dollars worldwide.
In between Potter shoots Felton has appeared in Johnny Kevorkian’s thriller The Disappeared also starring Greg Wise and Harry Treadaway, has had a cameo role in the hit-comedy Get Him to the Greek starring Russell Brand. Felton recently completed Todd Lincoln’s Apparition also starring Ashley Greene of Twilight and Sebastian Stan. Apparition will be release in early 2012.
