The end of 2011 marked a new chapter in Tandem’s history with STUDIOCANAL taking a majority stake in the company, effectively making Tandem the television production and distribution arm of the European studio.

Emmy & Gemini Award-winning and Golden Globe-nominated, The Pillars of the Earth and World Without End are just two examples of Tandem’s award-winning and critically acclaimed productions. In addition to distributing its programs worldwide, Tandem also distributes quality, third party productions.
STUDIOCANAL’s involvement enabled Tandem to strengthen its one-hour series strategy, leading to Tandem’s production of the one-hour procedural crime series, Crossing Lines, which was created by Edward Allen Bernero (Criminal Minds), and recently wrapped a worldwide rollout with 12 new, Season Two episodes. Spotless, a new one-hour drama series for CANAL+ CREATION ORIGINALE, completed production on 10 episodes, shooting on-location in London.
Tandem, based in Munich, Germany, was founded by President Rola Bauer and COO Tim Halkin, both company Partners. Executive VP Jonas Bauer became a partner in the company in 2007.

Scott Free Productions was formed in 1995 and is the film and television production vehicle of acclaimed film directors, brothers Ridley and Tony Scott. Scott Free Films recently released the international hits Robin Hood and Unstoppable, as well as the critically acclaimed films Cracks, Welcome to the Rileys, Cyrus for Fox Searchlight, and most recently the YouTube backed Life in a Day.
